Gauguin's Next Step who scored 9.0 on Movement at One Year.

One of only 9 foals in the entire history of the ISR.Oldenburg NA Registry to score a 9.0 on Movement.

Gauguin's Next Step, nick named Cash,  is a strong bay colt with a star, snip and four matching white socks by Gaugun de Lully out of Step (High Steppin' Granny) thoroughbred Oldenburg NA Main Mare Book Premium Mare who has had three Premium Foals. His name was chosen taking into consideration his mom's name and in recognition of the legacy he must live up to from his prestigious sire who was  an International Grand Prix dressage champion winning Olympic medals, World championships and European championships. Gauguin is the sire of  top foals and under saddle offspring in both North America and Europe, under Swedish, Swiss, Dutch and Oldenburg kuerings. At the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. Mare and Foal Evaluation August 27th, Gauguin's Next Step, aka "Cash", Scored a 9 on Movement. This is the second 9 for gaits for Gauguin offspring. As long as records have been kept by the registry there have been only 9 foals to get a 9 on gaits. (Gauguin has two of them and Ideal has three.) This exceptional colt is available for purchase for $24,000 but only to an approved buyer. Call Carol Ives (503) 638 4839.

Also, It should be noted, there were only four Gauguin de Lully foals born in the USA this year and Gauguin's Next Step is one of two colts from the group being offered for sale. (None were bred in the USA for 2001) It's early to make a determination, but since Gauguin is gone and the supply of frozen semen nearly depleted, this one should be given serious consideration as a stallion prospect. (Shown on the right at ISR/Oldenburg NA evaluation in 2000.)

  INNISFREE - 4/99 Premium colt.

  PREMIUM GREY GELDING

“Innisfree” (“Free”) is truly an outstanding individual and only very reluctantly offered for sale.

Dr. Karsten Kuehl, inspector for ISR/Oldenburg NA deemed him a possible stallion candidate at only 3 months of age and asked to see him again in a few years.  Unfortunately, both space and health concerns (mine) dictate he be gelded.  On his 2nd birthday he measured slightly over 15.3hh and should mature to 16.1--16.3hh.  Free’s dam was a MMB TB who herself was a successful race mare, winning or placing at allowance races from 6f to 1 1/18 miles.  Her pedigree is a “who’s who” of jumping and sporthorse producing TB bloodlines:  Sailor, Captain Courageous, Eight Thirty, Man O’War, Hyperion and Bold Ruler. Free is extremely correct in his conformation and amazingly athletic.  His canter will make you drool!  He is very personable and smart; he loves attention.  Handled constantly and raised in natural conditions.  Free is “ideally” bred for eventing or dressage.  Located in North Idaho, 60 miles NE of Spokane, WA.  SOLD   (208) 265 4837 or email at reckless@sandpoint.net.

ISOLA One of the Top of Crop of 1998

Click on Photo for More Views

ISOLAPrecious black filly—the stuff dreams are made of .  Awarded Premium Foal status as a weanling and with the individual scores of 8.5, Isola was tied for the 6th highest ranking foal out of over 500 foals presented in North America in 1998.  Now 3, her physical quality is matched by a willingness and confidence beyond her years.

Isola’s natural engagement and powerful swing and elasticity, especially in her trot, makes her an exciting upper level dressage prospect.  Her classic hunter type “jump” would make her a smashing show hunter.

Although she has only been under saddle a few months, her sane and reasonable temperament quite honestly makes her suitable for nearly any rider provided they have a trainer’s support to stay on track.

Isola has a solid frame and is correct and substantial at 15.3 and still growing, she will probably reach 16+ hands.

Isola is a lovely example of the modern warmblood taking her best from her sire and her TB dam.  $27,000.  Contact Carol Ives, 503 638-7716 ph, 503 638 8099 fax. iveco@teleport.com  SOLD

They Call Me Ishmael ... 8.0 MOVEMENT

Ishmael is a handsome colt who impressed the judges and crowd at the ISR/Oldenburg Inspection with his powerful impressive movement and a score of 8.0.  Ishmael follows in the quality of his sire Ideal and his dam the Oldenburg  mare Beaujolais.  His quality pedigree extends to his dam’s sire Bonjour who is famous for his extravagant movement and her dam Pik Dama sired by the famous foundation sire Pik Konig.  With this impeccable background Ishmael is sure to grow into a winning performance horse in the dressage court or jumping arena.

Ishmael is black, but will mature gray.  He has matching hind white socks.  His full sister, a 99 filly, stands 16 hands and is expected to mature to 16.2+ hands.  He should equal or better his sister in height.

Bred and raised by a small professional breeder, he has received daily individual attention and quality care since birth.  The trainability of these two Ideal foals is amazing and can be attributed to the sire Ideal.   Contact Sid or Tom McBride (530-533-5721) Pinecrest Farms, 2641 Pinecrest Road, Oroville, CA 95966

CONGRATULATONS to Whitney Wiggins who now owns Intrepid. A great thing for him and one of our favorite Ideal offspring because Whitney has done so well showing him. Here's the story from the seller ...

Hi Carol ~

I am overjoyed to announce that Intrepid now belongs to Whitney Wiggins of Puyallup Washington. Her parents, Bob & Debbie Wiggins bought him for her as a surprise Christmas gift. We kept the whole sale a secret until Whitney was home for Christmas break from WSU and we could plan the surprise. I have to tell you there was not a dry eye in the barn on Saturday when Whitney walked in and saw Intrepid all dressed up in gold bows. It was a very special moment that I will never forget. It is wonderful to see how much she loves him and how much he loves her.

Thank you for all your help & support.

Take care,

Maggie Nicolino
