IRISH LACE
She Definitely is ... In Vogue and now she is sold, as well. Scores 7.8 (Type) 8.2 (Movement) 7.7 (Overall) Total
7.9 When loose, In Vogue’s powerful thrust in her lengthenings is thrilling. When she rocks back and loads her hind end, her piaffe, passage play inspires the hope dressage riders desire for a Grand Prix prospect. In Vogue has started the backing process and
demonstrates an open and interested attitude, a clean slate capable of
fulfilling her potential and that of her partner. In Vogue should make 16.3 or better and
displays quality of character and athletic ability that should get the
“thumbs up” from the discriminating trainer who must approve the
prospective buyers purchase. The
only scenario that might cause a snag is the trainer might decide they want
In Vogue for themselves. Yes,
she is that good! Price - Private Treaty. SOLD to Linda Bogatay, an Upper Level Rider from Klamath Falls, Oregon
She is IN STEP (and now she is SOLD!)
Yet another splendid IDEAL horse is heading for Florida. Pamela Lynn of Ocala, is the new owner of In Step by Ideal. In Step, a 2001 Premium foal, placed 2nd in North America out of over 500 foals in the 2001 ISR/Oldenburg inspections. Pamela teaches and trains dressage at her farm Paloose Ranch. She is also active in showing horses. Besides training In Step in dressage, Pamela plans to jump her.
Ideal x High Steppin Granny **
2nd PLACE for 2001 out of over 500 foals presented
In
Step was bred by the Ultimate Piaffe and was welcomed into the world on July
7, 2001. Her arrival was
anxiously anticipated hoping that once again this particular breeding would
produce one of the top foals in the country.
Her quality was instantly recognized.
She has a notably feminine type without losing substance or frame
size. In fact, her height and
weight is the same as her stable mates out of warmblood mares. She has a deep rich chestnut coat with four neat and balanced
socks…uneven socks can be distracting to some dressage judges.
In
Step’s dam, High Stepping Granny (Step) is a premium rated two star
thoroughbred mare that has had 5 foals.
Four of them by Ideal and one by Gauguin de Lully.
All but one were premium and remarkably all of them were ranked as
one of the top foals in North America from their individual foaling season.
In 1998, Ivanhoe was ranked 4th and in 1999, Inge was ranked 2nd
both by Ideal and scored out of over 500 foals each season.
In 2000, Gauguin’s Next Step by Gauguin de Lully was tied with two
other foals for 1st
place again out of over 500 foals. Step
is a phenomenal mare. She has
movement that is uncommon to thoroughbreds although she is the very essence
of femininity. Her freedom,
regularity and suspension in her movement are correct and impressive.
Step competed up through Second Level in dressage.
As an example of her willingness the Ultimate Piaffe strives to
produce, Step was shown by a 10 year old child who was a beginner. In
Step is by the German approved and imported Oldenburg stallion, Ideal.
Ideal is consistently one of the top Oldenburg stallions in North
America. He is the sire of ABIC/USDF
Champions, USDF All Breed Champions, Hunter Champions, Event Champions, USDF
Breed Show winners, Material Class winners and Premium Mares. On
September 9, In Step was presented to the International Sporthorse Registry
and Oldenburg N.A. for evaluation and registration.
Spectators were anxious to see if Step’s filly would rival those of
the past several seasons. No
one was disappointed. When Step
and her filly, In Step, made their way around the triangle, the crowd burst
into applause and hoped and hollered their approval.
In Step just burst into an even more extravagant trot with a powerful
swing and supple rotations over her back.
It appeared that she was trotting across a trampoline, each stride in
balance and rhythm. It was the
best trot of the entire inspection; a good movement sore was expected.
As the lovely filly came back to the apex of the triangle, the
gorgeous dark chestnut filly turned her face up towards the gathering of
breeders and enthusiasts. The
lovely creature captivated the crowd and with dazzling elegance and
intelligent expression it was clear that what makes In Step special is more
than her world-class movement.
The last three High Steppin Granny foals received 9.0 either in
conformation or movement. In
Step did not disappoint. The
ISR Champion received a 9.0 for her exceptional movement and an 8.5 for
conformation, 8.5 for overall impression for a total of 8.7 overall. In
Step’s oldest sibling is a 16.1 hand mare that has tremendous bone and
substance. These crosses
aren’t at all lacking in bone, which one sometimes sees in warmblood/TB
crosses. From her very first
recognized competition, Indiana Ho won her Training and First Level classes
with nearly all scores in the 70’s. She
also joins the cowboys and quarter horses in the weekly team penning nights
and stands tied to the trailer while the participants celebrate.
Oh, and Indiana Ho regularly goes on 50 miles rides.
Her owner says it is the horse of her dreams. Ivanhoe, the 1998 colt by Ideal out of Step, is excelling in eventing. You can see a photo of him and his owner, Brooks Lyons, in the 2004-5 Ideal stallion ad. In
Step will probably mature at 16.1 and will have the correct bone and
substance as well as size and frame.
With a 9.0 in movement, it is obvious that In Step could excel in
dressage. Her quality is such that she could have a future later on
down the line as a wonderful broodmare but go out and win first!
Finally, In Step is adorable
and delightful. She
is a world class horse with “back yard” love (503) 638 7716 carol@ultimatepiaffe.com IBIZA OUT OF DELIGHTFUL ... 9.0 in MOVEMEMT The Dutch mare Delightful (The Ives call her Westerdam), a Premium mare by Zephyr/Alme Z out of Pandora by Patrick presented with a beautiful bay filly on June 12. Ibiza has a white star and stripe and is very sweet. This elegant filly was bred by the Ultimate Piaffe. Delightful's pedigree reads like the Who's Who of the International jumping ring. Through her grandsire Alme Z, Delightful is related to Galoubet, I Love You, Hidden Creek's Alvaretto, Crown Royal Albonnie, Ahorn, Jalisco B and Alcatraz. Delightful's sire, born Zephyr and shown under the name McArthur, is himself a very successful Grand Prix Jumper. Dressage enthusiasts in North America will recognize Delightful's dam's sire, Patrick as an outstanding producer of AHSA/USDF Dressage winners including the FEI Level gelding, Keys. Before we purchased Delightful, she had produced several NWSHA Champions. When we presented the 17.2 h grey mare to the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. jury she was awarded Premium Status (one of only 21 mares in 1998) for her excellent conformation and her swing and elasticity in her trot. Ibiza was very impressive at her ISR/Oldenburg inspection in August 2002. That "something special" she was born with really came out. Ibiza has lovely expression and a wonderfully round topline. ISADORA—1998 Premium Filly by Ideal and TB mare. Isadora is black, turning grey and should mature around 16h. She has a very friendly, loving and dependable temperament. She is easy to work with, is a quick learner, has a nice work ethic and truly seems to enjoy being ridden. Recently started under saddle, she has 3 very nice gaits, and no buck or spook. Her extraordinary canter looks like she belongs in the hunter ring and her unflappable attitude and willingness would be perfect for any discipline or rider. Due to a lack of time to take this special horse to her potential, she is sadly offered for sale. Isadora is in Pullman, Washington and more pictures can be viewed at www.horsehound.com. Contact Lisa Dilling, 509 334 3234, lisa@horsehound.com. Isadora is in training for dressage and jumping and would make a fancy hunter prospect. She is level headed and dependable, a fantastic mover with tons of scope and 'WOW' factor.
