Lessa on Incahoots
Ryann Blair of Oregon
reports she purchased Incahoots (aka Murphy) this Spring. She says,
"I absolutely love this guy and he’s doing so well! I really
enjoyed attending your Inspection last weekend and thought I would shoot
over a few recent pictures of my Ideal baby.
P.S. my pasture fence is 5 feet and 2 inches tall and he trotted that oxer
with ease, he loves to jump!
Thank you,
Ryann Blair
UP-
"You're so welcome."
IDEAL has a couple of Visitors!

Darrel, Ideal and Geneva
Now Ideal meets the cookie lady!
Vicki Barnard and her Granddaughter Geneva Kramer came by to visit
their favorite Breyer Model.
They brought cookies and carrots
hollowed out to contain peppermints. Ideal failed
the peppermint test, but some of his offspring loved them. Below is a kind
note
THANK
YOU so much!
We
had a marvelous time!! And we've told everyone we've
seen
about the "peppermint test." We are still laughing.
Geneva
is wearing her Ideal T-shirt (again today), which fits perfectly.
We were both absolutely
blown
away with the very generous gift of a signed Ideal Breyer classic.
She hasn't put it
down
since she received it. And the pictures are terrific . . . we are
going to go to Kinko's
and
print them out on photo paper in several sizes, and look for several;
of fun frames -
one
for Geneva, one for Grandma, and one for great grandma. It gives
us a whole new
fun
project for today!
Thanks
again for your generous time, the pics, the gifts and your genuine
hospitality. We
are
very grateful and thrilled to have been in the presence of such horse
greatness (even
though
his taste for home cooking was a bit picky! Ha!). It was a
blast!

Florida Underground Hurricane Horse
Party
INNISFREE (Freebiscuit) in impromptu stall setup in underground parking
garage.
Thanks to Kelsey Shinn of Cocoa Beach, Florida for
these great pictures and fascinating story arising out of he worst
hurricane season in the recorded history of Florida. Kelsey reports ...
The second hurricane was headed for Cocoa Beach,
Florida, so Kelsey packed up her two horses and her sister’s gelding and
headed to Ft. Lauderdale. They
roped off 3 parking spaces in their 60 space underground parking garage,
dumped 25 bags of shavings and 6 bales of hay and weathered the storm out
at their restaurant.

Freebiscuit takes to a pond left behind from Florida Hurricane Season
After 4 hurricanes, the farm where Kelsey boards
became a swampland. The back
pasture fence was under 4 feet of water.
Leaving his fear of water behind, Freebiscuit made like a duck but
looked more like a hippo. When
turned out, he would run to the pond, walk in, swim a circle
and then just lull there…blowing bubbles with his nose and eating
underwater, complete with flickering ears just like a hippo.

Over We Go ... IVANHOE!

Brooks and Ivanhoe at Windchase
Farm, Purcellville, Virginia.
Ivanhoe
shown here as a coming 4 IDEAL Gelding is shown here in his first attempts at cross country
ridden by his owner Brooks Lyon who says he loves it. She also reports he's steady, confident and
not the least bit nervous. He enters his first real competition in Maryland
soon.
Brooks was a working student for 1988 Olympic eventer, Phyllis Dawson in exchange for daily lessons.
Phyllis took these pictures.
Prior to moving to Windchase Farm with
Phyllis Dawson, she had been training in
Dressage with Radu Marcoci, who's father was on the Romanian Olympic team with George Theodorescu.
Brooks and her family had lived in Oregon and trained with Michelle at The
Ultimate Piaffe before moving to Virginia. Ivanhoe is out of the The
Ultimate Piaffe Two Star Mare High Steppin Granny who has had four Ideal
offspring, two with 9.0 in conformation and one with 9.0 in movement. Ivanhoe
was one of the 9.0 with conformation and scored 8.5 overall at his ISR/Oldenburg
N.A. Evaluation at the Ultimate Piaffe. Great hearing from Brooks and Ivanhoe!
Thanks to Phyllis Dawson and Windchase Farm for the pictures.
