Recovers From Devastating Injury to place in Top 10 Jr. Horse Finals

InSync, half Arab, debuts at Rancho Murieta with splendid young horse showing and National Top Ten Jr Horse Title!

InSync ridden by Mark Schuerman

A brief story from Lynn Mckean...... when InSync was just turning 3 last year I had sent her to a trainer to be started, she broke her coffin bone and split her hoof all the way through. It was a devastating injury and I held my breath for months praying she wouldn't get a bone infection. She recovered without permanent injury, it took almost a year. So when it was time in May of this year to get her started I opted to not send her out, and trailered her to a trainer for lessons.

InSync was so incredible and learned so much with every lesson. So my trainer asked me if I'd be interested in taking her to Sport Horse Nationals since they were at Rancho Murieta this year, (Next year they'll be in Virginia.) He only had her just trotting and barely cantering so I said no. But with each lesson she got so much better that by the time entries were due he asked me again. I decided to go for it on a whim. So she was entered in Half Arabian Sport Horse Under Saddle, Jr Horse (5 & Under). She showed yesterday and came home with a National Top Ten Jr Horse Title!! She placed 4th by Judge Darby and 7th by Cee Cee Moss (Moss witnessed the wrong canter depart), and it placed her 5th overall. Her competition was from all over Canada and US, the Champion had just won Canadian Nationals as well. Lynn McKean says, "I'm not complaining about 5th, this was the first show under saddle for my horse and I couldn't be happier. (Nor could we.)
