Impromptu won 1st place in his Cosequin/USDFBC Colts of 2003 Sporthorse Breed Class. He went on to be Grand Champion in the Cosequin/USDFBC Colt Qualifier Championship Class, Colts 0-3 years old, and Reserve Champion Young Horse, Colts and Fillies, 0-3 years old. And to top it all off, Impromptu went on to win 1st place in the ISR/Oldenburg NA Sporthorse Breed Class.

August 16th 2003 Darrel and Gaugin's Ideal competed at
the Dressage at Devonwood Show in Sherwood, Oregon. Darrel and the
Six Year old Mare won Two Blue Ribbons. First Level Test Three with a
Score of 65.714% in a class judged by C Rated Judge Jeannie McDonald. But
the highlight of the show for them was scoring 69% for First Level Test 4 from Olympic Judge Axel
Steiner. Mr. Steiner is One of only Two 'O' Rated Judges in the USA.

Pfalz-Saar International Registry. Isaiah was entered into Stud Book
Number One according to

who presided over the Mare and Foal Evaluation September 1, 2003. Isaiah
was bred in Oregon by David Herndon of August Moon Farms and acquired
by Laura Patterson of College Station, Texas.

Iashi was presented on October 19, 2002, to the ISR/Oldenburg
N.A.at Hamacher Farm, in Micanopy, Florida where she was awarded Premium
Mare status. Iashi was bred and is owned by Dr. Pat Sullivan of
Gainesville, Florida. As a weanling in 1999, Iashi received an 8.5
score from the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. and placed 7th out of 533 foals
presented. She was also Champion at the USDFB qualifier at Valhalla,
Florida in 1999. Pat, who visited the Ultimate Piaffe farm this
Spring for the first time, has been part of the Ideal family for

Marie J. Shepard reports she took her
2 year old filly Imagine, by Ideal to the June 27 breeders show in
Spokane, where she was Judged by Kay Meredith. She won her 2 year old
filly class with a 78% and was Reserve Champion! Marie says this
qualifies her for Regional Finals.

Isola Champion at Ocala HITS March 5-10 show
Showing in the schooling hunter division, 2’6”,
Isola by Ideal (showing under the name Black Opal) was Champion of her
division showing under professional Scott Hofstetter.
In addition, Isola was Reserve Champion for the
whole 5 weeks series of Ocala HITS in Florida.
Isola
was purchased by Sarah Law and her daughter, Emily Jones, from breeder
Karin Hunt of Shadysprings Farms, Portland, Oregon.

Gauguin's Ideal Scores FIVE 9's and 77%
at Training Level Test Four!

Darrel Purdy and Gauguin's Ideal turned in a stunning
performance at The Casual Qualifier Dressage Show at Devonwood (Portland,
Oregon) on May 17th. Judge Diane Royce gave the beautiful six year old
filly a nine on gaits and four other 9's for executing near flawless
movements. Gauguin's Ideal is by Gauguin de Lully out of Isabaeau and
Ideal Mare.
A full sibling to this winning horse was born this year
and is named Gauguin's Impression and is offered for sale. See 2003

Illusive, an Ibegriff Filly out of Valkyrie a Dutch Warmblood
Mare scored 8.0 and a Gold Medal Premium Award at the Rheinland
Pfalz-Saar International Registry Mare and Foal Evaluation September 23rd
at Sue Dodge's Maverick Farm at McMinville, Oregon. Illusive was bred by
Karin Hunt of ShadySprings Farm of Portland. Karin has had four Inbegriff
foals. Last years Inbegriff Filly out of the same Mare was a Silver
