2/23/2001 The first IDEAL Foal of 2001, reported to us, is a filly Born 10:45 pm Feb 23rd. Shown here in her first outing. The filly named In Sync, was announced by Rebecca Pennington of Sonesta Farms of Cypress, Texas. Instyle is from her AQHA Mare Illusive Dancer. In Sync is  black (will most likely turn gray). The birth was transmitted live on the Internet from Rebecca's  Live Cam at www.sonestafarms.com. Check in at Rebecca's website for 'live' updates. How high tech can you get?


 

 

 

3/8/2001 The first IDEAL Colt of the year is Insider Trading a Chestnut out of an Anglo-Arab Mare owned by Lynn Kolstoe of Palmer, Alaska. Lynn's mare was leased to Dawn Hughes of Fairbanks, Alaska. This fellow is described as being handsome and big boned. Now that we have the picture, we can see that's true. And, he looks tall too. By the way, Insider Trading is for sale. There's another picture in the picture this department.

 

 

3/10/2001 I COUNT another IDEAL colt from another Lynn Kolstoe owned mare! This time it's a Bay named I Count out of Barely Lead a TB Mare which Lynn leased to Robin Littlefield of Eastsound, Washington. This Bay Colt is full brother to Inspired who placed 2nd in the entire Nation for all of  the 1999 ISR/Oldenburg Evaluation's with a score of 9.0 for Conformation. 

3/23/01 A colt was born to Dr. Mitch Hutchinson DVM and his wife Julie of Cheney, Washington, out of the Selle Francais mare, Esprit Dix. Dolly, the recipient mare of the successful embryo transfer, came from Colorado State.

 

 

3/26/2001 IMMERSONG A dark chestnut filly reported by Gay Walker of San Diego, California. Gay says she is delighted and has been doing cartwheels ever since her filly was born. Named Immersong, the filly is out of a Trakehner Mare named Pregelsong by Pregelstrand out of Banaria. Immersong is shown at just a few hours old.

 

3/28/2001 IVALON It's a filly reports Susan Shields, checking in from Woodstock, Georgia. Susan's TB mare, Court Rose, held on to this one a couple weeks beyond the due date. There were comments that she looked a few days old when born. Susan says she is very strong, yet has a feminine look. Here is Ivalon basking in the Georgia sun.

4/1/ 2001 IKA Rotterdam's filly named Ika was born at 11:40 p.m. as the clock ran out of April Fools Day. (Ika is shown here at three days..)  Lotta Currency aka Rotterdam, gave birth to a rather large and long legged little girl to the delight of the whole family. 4/4/2001 INCREDIBLY BOLD a colt for Ronnie Dewitt of Bradenton, Florida. The mare is Mannhattan's Minuet an Oldenburg by Mannhattan.

 

 

 

4/7/2001 IPSWITCH A colt for Melissa Kirtz of Canandigua, New York. Melissa says she loves Ipswitch so much she is breeding back to Ideal. She says his temperament is wonderful. He is very balanced and has wonderful conformation. Can't say enough good things. The mare is TB by French Thoroughbred Valet De Pied out of Pippinella. 

 

4/8/2001 INTRIGUE, 'TRIGGER', is by Ideal (OLD) out of Mon Petite Noir (HAN) by Matcho (XX) out of Tunica (HAN) by Trapper (HAN) Trigger's bloodlines are most impressive as is his appearance. He is a stunning BLACK colt with a gorgeous blaze down the middle of his face and a small amount of white around his right front pastern. Stacey Bisel, of Milestonequine of Topeka, Kansas, says "Trigger is a gorgeous horse with an incredible disposition and a real love for human contact. This youngster has already been shown! Trigger attended his first USDF Breeders Series show at 3 weeks of age and the judge, Carter Bass, stated that he had a 'nicely active' trot with 'good carriage and nice bouncy strides, good elasticity, nicely uphill, and well engaged.' She completed her judging by stating that he had 'very correct angles' and a 'very sweet face.' Trigger is for sale.

 

4/7/2001 TESS a filly arrived a couple of weeks early but owner, Caron Hadge of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania,   says Tess  was a little early but came around fine. The mare, Scarlet, is a delightful Anglo Arab. Caron had hoped for a grey, but it appears this one is turning dark bay with two white socks. Caron quipped, "At this point I am so nuts about her I would love her what ever color."

 

4/11/01 A filly out of the Selle Francais mare Esprit Dix was born to Dr Mitch Hutchinson DVM and his wife Julie of Cheney, Washington. This was the second foal by Ideal for 2001 out of Esprit Dix whose first foal, a colt, was the result of a successful embryo transfer.

 

4/12/2001 I.D.CLAIRE a filly owned by Kerry and Steven Chase of Murietta in Southern California. I.D.Claire is out of a TB mare named Russian Wizard by Native Wizard. Kerry says I.D. Claire is all legs, bold and extremely friendly. From the picture the mare is keeping a close eye on her. (By the way, Carol Ives predicts from the photos that this 'silvery brown' foal will be black.)

 

 

 

4/14/ 2001 INKKA It's another on camera filly for Rebecca Pennington of Sonesta Farms of Cypress, Texas. Rebecca has another Ideal filly on February 23rd. As with the other one, this birth was transmitted on the internet. www.sonestafarms.com The mare is an Oldenburg named Winter Eclipse. She is by Wallenstein 

 

 

4/16/2001 A colt nicknamed "Peter"out of Dark Woman, a TB mare, was born to partners Loraine Gohr and Bernadette Radtke of Battle Creek, Michigan. Bernadette told Carol that this foals is great with little kids who come to pet her. 

4/22/2001 IRRESISTIBLE ONE That's the name Ken and Natalie Ortburg of Warrenton, Virginia are planning to name their new Ideal filly out of a TB Mare named Fifty Nifty by Magnificent One. Kerrie Kritt Says, "The filly is extremely tall and leggy and the birthing was text book". Pictures have been promised.

4/23/2001 A filly out of a Swedish Warmblood Mare, Minuet by Master, for Sharon Goodall now of Lake City Florida. The fillies name is Iceylon. Does she look up hill enough for you? 

 

 

 

4/24/01, a filly named Izabelle out of an appendix quarter horse mare was born to Laura Miller of Englewood, Colorado

 

4/29/2001 INDIAN SUMMER'S GIFT a filly for Jodi Rowe of Baldwinsville, New York. Bay with star on her forehead, Indy is out of a TB Mare named Champagne Gift by Sir Jinsky.

 

 

Also on 4/29/2001 A filly named Indie Wind came into the life of Lynne Schroeder of Franktown, Colorado. This Ideal filly is out of Lynne's TB Mare Daddy's Baby Doll. Lynne's daughter was hoping for grey,  but it's still hard say what Indie Wind will be ... except much loved. Lynne says this foal is so friendly she leaves the mare to greet guests to the barn and would climb into your back pocket if she could.

 

5/1/2001 Imagine (pronounced French) was born May 1 and is out of the Oldenburg mare Lilsister Da Va Da owned by Marie Shepard of Cheney, Washington.

Also on 5/1/200 Indigo, a black filly out of a grey Trakehner/TB mare named Moody Blue was born to Joanne Koebel of Tallula, Illinois. Joanne says her big filly is puppy dog friendly and she is keeping this Ideal filly for her next dressage horse.

5/5/ 2001 INANNA a filly for Patti Lacourse of 3Moons Farm in Cool, California. Inanna is out of Ocean Commotion a TB Mare by Tsuanmi Slew. The name is the proverbial Sumerian "Queen of  Heaven" which Patti says is an apt title for this little goddess. Patti adds, "Ideal but some GREAT bone on this one and she thinks as the months progress, they will have a athletic raging beauty on their hands. Like many Ideal foals, this one cheerfully comes out to greet the humans displaying an effortless stride!

 

5/ 9/ 2001 IANOS A colt for Pat Sullivan our nearly official Florida representative of the Ultimate Piaffe and one of IDEAL's biggest boosters. Dr. Pat of Gainesville, Florida reports Ianos (like Janos)  is bay with  star, snip and three white socks and looks like Fallon's (her Oldenburg mare by Fatalist) earlier IDEAL foal named Iliana. Congratulations! 

 

5/15/2001 A colt named Isaac came into the life of Dee and William Barnett of Medford, Oregon. Dee says Isaac is terrific, chestnut with two white socks and is out of Image Castle a red Mare by J.T. Hurst out of Genetta by Grenfall. Picture coming.

5/17/2001 A colt for Melissa Hammond of Willoughby Hills, Ohio. He is out of a TB Mare named Desert Moon.

IMMERSONNE  a colt for PROXY our Hanoverian Mare which is the first and only mare to have produced two 9.0 foals for movement in the ISR/Oldenburg Registry. Before the 2001 edition Proxy previously gave us Immerwyn and Immerstar, so this one had to be named Immer something. Taking note of all the white on him and his bright appeal it was suggested he be named Immersun. The German word for sun is sonne.  This Proxy baby is the largest IDEAL foal we have ever delivered here at the Ultimate Piaffe. He is Chestnut with big off center blaze, four white stockings and is very strong. Sonne stood without assistance on his second try at about 25 minutes of age. Proxy is approved MSB Hanoverian and MMB  ISR/Oldenburg N.A.  Proxy is by the Hanoverian Grand Prix competition stallion, Palladium, by the Stallion Pik Solo, known for producing super dressage movement.  She is out of an imported Hanoverian mare by one of the best dressage stallions of all time, Wenzel I, out of Aderlass x Valentino xx mare.

5/24/2001 A Colt named Icarus for Karin Hunt of Shadysprings Farm Portland, Oregon. The Colt is out of a TB Mare named Fasiers's Dolly. Icarus, barn name Harvey, is a Chestnut with Blaze and four white socks. He is full brother to Isola a 1998 Premium 8.5 Filly. 

 5/28/2001 Another Colt for Karin Hunt of Shadysprings Farm, Portland. This one is named Illiad and his barn name is Homer. Illiad is Bay in color and is out of Frauka and Oldenburg Mare by Frohwind

By the way, this makes SIX Ideal  and  TWO  Inbegriff offspring for Karin, a breeder of impeccable taste, wouldn't you say?

5/31/2001 The year of the colt? Perhaps! It's a colt for Cindy Latham of Scotsboro. Alabama. Cindy is still working on a name for this fellow she says in healthy, large and a greyish roan-like color with black underneath. (Carol Ives took one look at the photo and said, "This one will be black".) He is out of a Swedish Warmblood mare named Spartacus Innersta by Spartacus. 

5/31/2001 Also on this date, another colt out of a Selle Francais mare by Bonjour was born on May 31 to Karen  Nietubicz of Lake Placid, Florida.  Karen is searching for a name starting with a N because she plans to present the foal to the Selle Francais registry. He is 3 to 4 weeks old in this
photo.  Karen says, "Right now his name is still pending but it will be Non-Pareil  D'Ideal it means 'Matchless by Ideal' in French. I call him Najahn for  short. He was born May 31 and will turn grey. Najahn is very loving. Thank you so much for my beautiful baby I hope to keep him a stallion and use him for breeding some day.

6/1/2001 Virginia Allen of Langley, Canada, arrived home from a very successful show with her 4 year old Ideal gelding, Immerwyn, in time to welcome her second Ideal offspring, a filly named Inez on July 1, out of the Oldenburg mare, Delilah by Dynamic owned by Dama Curtright of Salem, Oregon.

6/6/2001 Another colt by Ideal (this makes Karin’s 3rd this year) was born to Karin Hunt on June 6 (Carol and Victor Ives' Wedding Anniversary) out of a TB mare named Rainbow’s Lightening. We will try to have pictures of all three of Karin’s colts next week. Karin is a Portland, Oregon resident.

6/13/2001 IO arrives. Elanor Klawer of Langly Canada announces that her mare Dutch Fox produced a bouncy baby boy ten feet tall, bullet proof within an hour and hasn't stopped yet.! She say he is a dark silvery color. strong, straight, bright and friendly and Dutch Fox has taken to her job like a pro. The colt will be named IO (ee-oh) a Greek explanation for happiness. Dutch Fox is a TB/DWB Cross.  

6/14/2001 Kat has a Kitten. CATINKA, the Ultimate Piaffe's Hanoverian Two Star Mare had  filly who's barn name is KIT Her registered name is INGO'S KATZE named in honor of Ingo Pape the renowned breeder from Hengeststaion  Pape, Hemmoor, Germany. KATZE is chestnut, very elegant, has a feminine face, striking neck and has already exhibited extravagant trot.  KAT, her mom, and has has two Premium Fillies which have become Premium Mares. 6/17/2001 IMKE a colt for Deborah Cummings of Newburg, Oregon out of a TB Mare named Black Satin Aboo. The filly looks like she will be black as was her full sibling Makaoto a 1996 Premium Black Ideal Colt out of the same mare. 

6/20/2001 Pat Sullivan and Carey Zukaitis announce the birth of a new filly born on June 20 out of Ashley, Carey’s Holsteiner/Trakehner mare by Hurrikhan out of Vermeil b Capitano. This flashy filly is a full sister to Inci, a 2000 filly who was Reserve Champion in the 2000 USDF/Cosequin Young Horse Qualifier and was Champion of the Oldenburg Breed class. Inci is for sale. Pat Sullivan is one of the Ultimate Piaffe’s most loyal clients. This is her 6th Ideal foal which includes Iashi, a 1999 Premium Filly (8.5) placing 7th out of 533 foals. She was also Champion at the USDFB Qualifier held in Valhalla, Florida that year. Pat is from Gainesville, Florida and Carey is from Archer, Florida.

 

                                    

7/7/2001 In Step a filly for STEP our Two Star Premium TB Mare. In Step looks like she will be chestnut with four white socks a star and snip is very flashy and comes in a feminine package. Step has had three foals with 9.0. Two for conformation (Ideal) and one (Gauguin) for movement. The Step 2001 edition is available for purchase. ALSO on 7/7/2001 A colt for Natasha Ackers of St. James, New York from her TB Mare named Sage by Dancing Crown. Natasha says this is the friendliest foal she have ever known. (We hear this often about Ideal offspring.) A name is in the works for this colt which is bay on top and almost silver/brown on his legs and may grey.

7/13/2001 A filly for FREISA (Ryndam) our elegant faced 17 hand+ Dutch bred main mare book mare who's first foal for us, last year, was ranked third in the nation. Freisa has produced several breed show winners including USDF young horse champions. She has a young son showing at AHSA/USDF competitions with a junior young rider at first level.
