IDEAL MARE WINS USDF ALL BREEDS AWARD

Kris Kalstrom reports her Ideal Mare Honolulu and their young trainer, Lucia Rapalyea, won FIRST PLACE in the USDF All-Breed Awards for First Level- Selle Francais with a median score of 64.58!

Eventing is next is store for Honolulu in 2003 with Kris's husband Dennis in 2003. The Kalstroms expect successful, since the mare's jumping ability is at least as good as her dressage.

Kris says they are anxiously awaiting her full brother/sister embryo transplant next March. (Aside, Ideal has a number of offspring via embryo transplant. Sometimes this technique is used so a great performance mare doesn't have to give up show season.)

We were thrilled to get this report on Intrepid bred by the Ultimate Piaffe out of our Secretarit Grand Daughter, Royaltariat.  My name is Whitney Wiggins and I am currently leasing the Oldenburg gelding Intrepid by Ideal. His owner, Maggie Nicolino, asked me to send you a  picture from our blue ribbon ride a few weekends ago at the Donida Dressage  show. We scored a 70.00% in a training 1 class judged by Mary Broyles. What  makes our score even more exciting is the fact that Intrepid and I have only
been working together for a little over a month. He is an amazing horse with  exceptional attitude and drive and our comments from Ms. Broyles reflected  his wonderful gaits and temperament. Thank you for your interest in our  victory - it was a great accomplishment for both Intrepid and me.
Congratulations Whitney! Please stay in touch and tell us more about yourself.
