1/31/02 First Birth of 2002 is a
Filly belonging to Karin Hunt of Shady
Springs Farm in Portland! The filly
by IDEAL is out of Lida a Premium Oldenburg Filly by Linaro, a noted
Holsteiner Stallion Standing in Germany.
2/25/02
A
filly was born on February 25, 2002 out of a Hanoverian mare to Dede Moore
of Sherwood Oregon. This is
Dede’s 5th Ideal foal. Dede says this jet black little lady
was up on her feet in three minutes. Shown
here at 5 weeks.
3/10/02 Another Filly? Yep. Irish
Lace, a filly, was born on March 10, 2002, and makes the 3rd
Ideal filly bred by Chris McClure of Dunvegan Farm in Amity, Oregon, out
of the TB mare, Morning Lace. The
large bay filly has a white
star and is destined to have her full siblings athletic abilities.
Chris says she is for sale.

A Chestnut filly was born to Elizabeth Perry on March 16.
The filly is out of the TB mare Court Rose and is the 3rd
Ideal foal out of this mare. Elizabeth
is a veterinarian and lives in Oxford, Georgia.

Kris
Belles DVM of Mead, Washington reports the First Ideal Colt of the
year born at 5:00am March 21, 2002. The mare is "Charlotte," a TB mare owned by Shelly Loucks of
Spokane, WA. The foal is a colt, dark brown or black with no white hairs.
It was 16 degrees there that morning with a wind chill of - 5, so that is why he has
a protective shirt on in his debut picture. He was up within 30 minutes and nursing within an
hour, everyone is doing fine.
4/4/02
ImaDeal arrives. Lynn Kolstoe’s mare Barely Lead presented
Robin Littlefield with a colt on April 4,
2002. This is Barely Leads 4th
foal by Ideal. Talk about
coincidence, the first 3 foals have been
presented to the ISR/Oldenburg and have all placed 2nd out of
over 500 foals in the year they were presented.
Robin lives in Eastsound, Washington.

Robin Littlefield of Eastsound, Washington announced a colt born on April
9, 2002 out of her TB mare, Flexible Miss.
Robin named her chocolate colored colt that was due March 16,
Island Tyme. Robin’s 2001
colt by Ideal, out of a leased mare, placed 2nd in 2001 overall
and 1st in colts.

4/10/02
The Ultimate Piaffe’s 3 Star TB mare, Lotta Currency had her 8th
Ideal foal, a chestnut filly with a white star on April 10, 2002.
Rotterdam, as she is called, was the first mare the Ultimate Piaffe
bought for the breeding program. She
has had 4 fillies and 4 colts. The
second colt, Iko, is owned and ridden by Sandy Howard and will be shown
Prix St. George in 2002. The
filly was named Ikuma. (Inspired by a newspaper story the same day about a
famous diamond in Canada.) Available for
purchase.

4/12/02 Innovator (Nova) a colt was born April 12, 2002 at 5:40am.
Innovator is out of a TB mare named Cool Vicky by Cool Victor. The owner
is Kate Greenwood of Perry, Ohio. Kate says, Nova is dark bay who has lots of gray markings on his legs & a few hairs of gray on his back.
And that he is the cutest thing! Left above hours old and right above at
four days.

Tori McGrath of Thousand Oaks,
California announced a very
large colt was born on Saturday, April 13, 2002
after her TB mare, Rambling Patsea,
was induced at 358 days. The
Chestnut colt has 3 white socks and a large white star. For
now, the colt is being called Ian.
4/19/02
Iota, a filly, made her appearance at 6:15 p.m on Friday, April 19, 2002.
Iota is out of the TB mare named Kalem’s Party and is owned by
Georgia Smith of El Rito, New Mexico.
4/19/02 I’m Your Ideal, “a
wonderful colt” was born on April 19 out of a TB
mare named You’re My Honey by Eleven Stitches.
Darlene Riccione of Bryceville, Florida, is the proud owner. Darlene says, “I’m pretty sure he is going to be gray and
if he does, my dream horse has come true”.
4/30/02
Jarrah, a Trakehner mare by Memphis, produced a “beautiful bay colt”
on April 30 for his owner, Michelle Freeman, DVM, of Centralia, Missouri.
This is Michelle’s second Ideal offspring out of Jarrah.

May 1, was the birth date for a Chestnut colt
out of a TB mare named Sharland.
Elizabeth Perry of Oxford, Georgia owns the colt.
This is Elizabeth’s 2nd Ideal offspring for 2002.

Just
Child’s Play produced her 6th
Ideal offspring at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2002.
The happy owner of the new filly is Kristin Nicolls of Anacortes,
Washington. Kristin tells us
the filly was very strong and was up and nursing on her own in an hour.
The filly is dark bay with a blaze and has been named Imagine by
Kristin’s mother. Update! Imagine has a
full brother, Intrigue (aka Montana) jumping in Mexico who was the 2001
National Champion 5 Year Old Jumper. Up date ... he also won the 2002
National Champion Ship for 6 year olds. Blue Ribbon

Karen Wiseman of Ionia,
Michigan announced the birth of a black filly born on May 4, out of the warmblood mare La Moucle by Puritano.
Mother and baby are both doing well.
5/13/2002
Illaggio, a colt, finally decided to make his appearance on May 13.
Jodi Niccum of Cornville, Arizona, says, “This youngster has
plenty of white and is potentially going to be a liver chestnut”.
The mare, Camillion, is a Trakehner by Chrysos out of Libella V by
Siegbert.
5/18/02
On May 18, the Anglo-Trakehner mare Step Aside by Draegon out of Stefana
by Power Ruler gave birth to a lovely chestnut filly.
Cathy Huth, who lives in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, reports her vet
checked her out and says, “she seems very correct and I should be very
proud”. Cathy plans to take
her filly to an ISR/Oldenburg inspection in Alberta in September.
5/18/02
Jessica Smith of Fairplay, Maryland announced the birth of her first Ideal
foal, a chestnut filly with a big star that she has named Imma.
Jessica’s first delivery went off without a hitch and she is
planning on breeding back to Ideal this year.
The TB mare named Polar Promise is by North Pole produced Imma on
May 18.

Fay Kohorst of Arcadia, Iowa, is awaiting the imminent birth of her 3rd
Ideal foal for 2002. In the
meantime, she is announcing the birth of a colt out of her Trakehner mare,
Pascha by Abdullah out of Pantomine by Schonfelden.
The large colt was born on May 20 and is very correct and healthy.

Karen Keen Cheeke of Corvallis announced the birth of her second Ideal
foal out of her Morab mare, Tessa. The
liver chestnut foals has two white hind socks, star, blaze and snip.
Karen is going to call her new colt, Izaak (EE-zack).
Karen’s first Ideal foal, Ilizza was a premium foal at her
testing. Izaak and his fan club are shown above

5/26/02 A jet black filly
(will probably gray) made her arrival on May 26 at 10:00 p.m.
June Reynolds of Cincinnati, Ohio, says that Ideal Angel is very
sweet. The mare, a gray
Standardbred named Curraghs Pollyana is by Curragh out of Precious
Pollyana
 5/29/02 Candace Kilgrow of
Wendell, Idaho, let us know that her Oldenburg mare Faith, by First Class
out of Cheeta Banker delivered a “big, healthy, dark bay filly” on May
29 at 5:30 a.m. Ive (Eve) has two white socks and a star, strip on her face. She
is shown above at two days old. Already showing a remarkable
presence.
6/1/2002 Elegeant Annie, a
Selle Francais mare, gave birth to a Chestnut filly on June 1, at 9:30
a.m. Emmilly Wells, the proud
owner who lives in Greenacres, Washington, said the filly was “big and
strong”.
6/3/2002 Inesite a colt by
Ideal out of a TB mare named It’s Krystal by Rumboxx, was born on June
3rd. The owner is Susan
MacInnes, DVM of Half Moon Bay, California.
6/6/2002
On June 6, PC a Trakehner mare by Abdullah out of Pantomine by Schonfelden
produced a filly by Ideal for Fay Kohorst of Arcadia, Iowa.
The filly, Fay’s 2nd Ideal offspring for 2002, is also
correct and healthy.

Melissa Kurtz of Naples, New York, welcomed her second Ideal foal on June
11 out of her TB mare, Carinella. The
filly was named Icenellia and joins her 2001 brother at Melissa’s farm
in New York.

The Dutch mare Delightful (The Ives call her
Westerdam), a Premium mare by Zephyr/Alme Z out of Pandora by Patrick
presented with a beautiful bay filly on June 12.
Ibiza has a white star and stripe and is very sweet.
This elegant filly was bred by the Ultimate Piaffe.

On June 18, Catinka, one of The Ultimate Piaffe's 3 star mares, presented
us with a wonderful black/bay colt by Ideal’s son, Inbegriff.
The dark colt does not have any white.
The big colt’s barn name is Guinness. (He's
a stout fellow and about the color of a 'pint'. The imported Hanoverian mare Catinka is by the Trakehner Consul and
out of Werona by Werther. Catinka
is a full sister to the dam of the stallion Regazzoni standing in Germany
and owned by Ingo Pape. Inbegriff is
now approved by Rheinland Pfalz-Saar
International.

Shawna Thomas announced the birth of a colt by Inbegriff
(Ideal's full black son) on June 19.
“In Theory” is a dark mocha color with a black stripe down his
back and two white diagonal socks. Theo
is out of a buckskin Appendix Quarter horse. Shawna lives in Meridian,
Idaho. Inbegriff is now approved by Rheinland Pfalz-Saar
International.
6/21/2002 Oldenburg farm in
Mequon, WI., announced the birth of a filly by Ideal out of River Girl by
Cor Noir out of Cor Amie on June 21.
Leslie Maslowski reports the filly is healthy and happy and that
River Girl is an absolutely excellent mother.
River Girl was the highest rated mare in the 2001 ISR/Oldenburg
Evaluation tour receiving a score of 113 points.
River Girl’s dam, Cor Amie, is out of the Ultimate Piaffe’s 3
star mare, Catinka who was imported from Ingo Pape’s farm in Germany.

A dark liver chestnut colt with two matching
white hind socks was born on June 24 out of Proxy, a Hanoverian mare by
Palladium/Wenzel I The striking large colt is Proxy’s 3rd
colt by Ideal. All of
Proxy’s foals (2 colts and 1 filly) have been scored Premium by the ISR/Oldenburg
registry at their individual testings.
Proxy’s filly, Immerstar, was tied for lst place in 2000 out of
over 500 foals. Immerwyn (Proxy’s first colt by Ideal) and Immerstar both
scored 9 for movement. Immersonne,
Proxy’s second colt and kept by the Ultimate Piaffe as a stallion
prospect, scored 8.8 in movement. Bred
by the Ultimate Piaffe.

Freisa (the Ives call her Ryndam) a Dutch mare by Benjamin/Purioso/Furioso
II out of a Joost
mare foaled on June 28 and produced her lst colt for the Ultimate
Piaffe. The bay colt has a
blaze and 3 white socks. Ryndam’s 2000 filly by Ideal, Ilissa, tied for 2nd
out of over 500 foals tested. The
leggy bay colt was given the barn name Levi. (Shown at 45 minutes old.)
Levi is his barn name because Val Zeek said he "came out doing a
Levade". This foal is available
for purchase.

I Spy, a colt out of a TB mare named Pop Cee, was born on June 30 at 4:30
a.m.to Janice Wilson of LaGrange, Kentucky.
He is “very large and correct”.
The bay colt’s farm name is Spyder.
I Spy was bred to replace Janice’s show horse who is 17 years
old.
